Successfully received another tractor trailer load of potatoes today!

First Loads of Potatoes!
After months of behind the scenes work to establish the vision of Community Acts of Compassion in Dallas, Texas, our first tractor trailer load of potatoes came in yesterday, with two more following this morning! Hundreds of thousands of pounds of potatoes mean that we can begin to do our part to help fill in the hunger gaps in this area.
Within the past ten months we have connected with multiple groups that are doing inspiring work in the face of hardship. We are thrilled that we now will have the opportunity to support these various hunger initiatives in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. However, we have not forgotten where we came from – El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Chihuahua. We will continue to offer food relief in every way that we can as Juarez continues to fight through a tragic time.
We thank those who have shown us support through donations, offers to volunteer, and by following us on Twitter, Facebook and this blog. If you would like to assist those in need in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area or in the El Paso/Juarez area, please consider making a donation within your means or looking into our Get Involved section.
Our first load of potatoes came in today. After months of behind the scenes work to get things started, Community Acts of Compassion in Dallas is happening!
